WEEKEND UPDATE: 22 July – 24 July 2022
Unfortunately the consistent rainfall across our region has impacted the number of venues we have available for weekend matches. With more rain forecast over the next three days, the MFA has declared this round of matches a ‘washout round’. All matches scheduled in Game Day for currently this weekend should be considered void. As we have done previously, we would still like to use the venues that we have at our disposal to play games that we have on hold. We have over 200 games still outstanding from previous rounds that we are looking to reinstate. Priority will be given to matches that need to be played to complete a full round of matches. We don’t enjoy dong this and we understand late changes to scheduling causes frustration, however our obligation is to provide the opportunity for people to enjoy a game of football if we can. We will place matches at Lynwood Stadium and Nott Oval as priority. Clubs with turf fields will be conducting final inspections tonight. Any grounds that remain open will have ‘catch-up’ games scheduled. As always, please keep in contact with your Team Manager and club to find out if you have a game.
